Managua International Airport

The Managua International Airport in Nicaragua is a small airport with 7 boarding gates equipped with jetways to handle large airplanes on international flights.

The Managua airport is two stories tall.  You will find souvenir shops in the boarding area, and restaurants on the second floor near the boarding gates. Several car rental agencies, restaurants, and more gift shops, are on the ground floor. Managua International Airport was inaugurated in 1968, and was formerly named for Nicaragua's national hero, Augusto Caesar Sandino. A statue of Aviator Charles Lindbergh is located on the exit drive out of the airport.
